Abounding in Grace by Cheerful Giving (TPM)

One of the proofs that we have been rooted in faith is that we have confidence. “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” (2 Tim. 1:12). This knowledge is a source of confidence. Thus, even when things happen to the contrary, that confidence stays.

We do ministry by faith; we also do business by faith. The just shall leave by faith (Rom. 1:17). This speaks of the ability of the heart to respond to what God says concerning an expectation. Confidence is born over time. Some people are confident in the flesh, but we should not have any confidence in the flesh.

“For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.” (Rom. 4:3). In the process of believing, Abraham staggered but, in a season, he gained confidence in the life of faith and the life of faith became his life. In the process of believing, one may falter; one may have occasions where he did not have what he asked God for. However, this might just be an opportunity to add patience to one’s faith. Sometimes, the patience is lacking in our faith.

“Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Gen. 18:14). When God is using faith to save us, it is no longer about the ability to get what we want in our own time, rather, it is about His own time. When you receive what you want without subjective leading, it has not yet affected the state of their heart; sins have not yet been remitted.

“Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” (Gen. 18:12). The enemy of her faith was the report she was considering; there was a stronghold of unbelief. Man naturally does not like the discipline of the faith path because we are configured to want to know the timing and manner of situations, as it gives more security.

Man was meant to live on the word (Matt. 4:4). Men like Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin, who were pillars in the milk dispensation were those who transacted with every word that made up the first foundations. The Lord wants to address every aspect of faith that we are lacking in.

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63). In the same way, the words Satan speaks are spirits of fear. Depending on the class of evil spirits speaking to one, such words spoken carry different cadres of fear.

The milk faith deals with speakings from demons. Demons are fallen angels from the footstool. There is another (higher) fear from principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness. As long as we have not been exercised in a substance of faith from the word of Christ, we will be unable to neutralize death that comes from when these spirits speak. When the word of Christ dwells richly in one (Col. 3:16), the spirit of the word comes alive.

There is a spirit of faith in every spiritual meal. Faith is a spirit. The spirit of faith can be traced to the substance of that faith — when one migrates from precept to lines.

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Rom. 10:10). It took time for Abraham to believe unto righteousness, as there were stumbling and unbelief. However, when the cycle of believing is completed, a man shall have whatsoever thing he desires. The world of faith is a powerful world. Some of us will be stirred in different ways to respond to the spirit that is in the milk expression of faith for some issues/expectations. When one uses milk, such becomes skillful, but one should not tabernacle there.

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. [2] And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” (1 Cor. 13:1–2). This scripture is not against one having the gift of prophecy, but the time had come for the Corinthian church to know the more excellent way.

There is a way some passions have not been unlocked in our soul through the word of righteousness, because it was not unlocked using milk faith. What we mainly lack is the ability to believe with the heart. Many of us have missed out on using our carnal substances to experience the supernatural and it is still affecting us from being passionate with the word of righteousness.

The milk faith unlocks passion in a soul. The way one relates with a man who has grace can cause the grace to rub off on you. Some of us, our estate in the natural and in the spirit ought to have changed. However, our challenge is that we do not know how to receive a prophet in the name of a prophet (Matt. 10:41). The name of a prophet is what makes him a prophet. The name is what makes him see afar of; it is what makes him have the spirit of revelation. Just as Jacob used venison to draw blessing from Isaac, we should also draw portions from the spirit of Reverend Kayode Oyegoke.

A man that will have breakthrough in understanding to walk more circumspectly and disobey different classes of spirit, must carry a portion of the spirit of Reverend Kayode Oyegoke. Many of us are still ignorant of the Kay spirit; of how to walk with a prophet. The Kay spirit is the spirit of Jesus; it is an apostolic spirit.

To be faithful with little (Luke 16:10) is to be faithful with what you can despise. There are some activities of angels that are long due upon our natural life. We must get to a place where somebody who is blessed blesses you. Before blessing is proclaimed to one, such must have discerned the prophet in the name of the prophet.

“But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses…” (2 Cor. 6:4). Paul had needs and those needs were an opportunity created by God to bless those who bear the burden to meet those needs. In doing so, such people would connect to the grace Paul carried.

When you see a need, a responsibility has been placed on your path. The same way you are stirred by your need is the same way you should be stirred by the need of the Lord. The grace of God upon the Macedonian church was a grace to give their way out of poverty (2 Cor. 8:1–5). There are some things some of us will do here that our economy in the natural will change. The present economy upon on our finances is not what is meant to be upon our finances. There is a grace required to be unlocked to cushion the effect of inflation in the country over our finances.

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” (2 Cor. 9:6). Some of us have not really been bountiful sowers; we have been sparing and that is why we reap sparingly. The more you give, the more you have left because the more you give, much more is added to your bosom. Giving attracts the activities of angels. The reason we do not increase in our giving is because we are low on the supply of faith; we have not been trained to look not on the things that are seen.

The activity of milk faith in the early Christians was seen in their giving. One of the ways you can know someone who has used milk faith is to check how passionate he is in giving. The passion can be traced to the spirit in the faith and love that is in Christ Jesus. The milk faith will unlock power and excitement to minister to the needs of others.

God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:6). One who has used milk so well will be a cheerful giver. A sign of a cheerful giver is that such would lack peace when he does not have to give. There are principles in the realm of the spirit — As long as heaven and earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease (Gen. 8:22). We have limited harvest because of our limited seed time. Overtime, there has seen a cumulative build up of limited harvest time because of limited seed time and it has affected yields over seasons.

The Lord wants us to be prosperous naturally. Do not believe the present report. The delay in some seasons can be traced to the fact that one has not been able to journey to a place where he can access a nature that can handle covetousness. What is hindering the prosperity of some is the fact that covetous natures and tendencies have not been dealt with. One of the ways to deal with covetous natures is by giving. What makes one not content with what he has is covetousness. When you put on the new man, you have dealt with covetousness.

The Lord wants to deal with that estate of limitation that has prevented us from profiting with the provisions that will see us prosper.

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. [8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work…” (2 Cor. 9:7–8). Allow God love you; become cheerful. Some do not have a cheerful heart because they have never believed unto righteousness. Milk faith is one of the first places that a sacrificial spirit is born; we should look out for the things of others. The fact that one is more blessed than others financially does not mean such a person’s standard of faith would be higher.

“And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.” (Exo. 16:18). The fact that one has more grace to gather does not means such should maintain a particular standard of living. The first thing to do with abundance is to supply to those who cannot gather as you gather and when you do so, one becomes a cheerful giver. Such a person many ask for grace in another area and God will ensure that the grace is supplied. A believer should abound in grace in every area of his life.

When people gather in abundance, they lay it in barns (Matt. 6:26); this is not the principle of the Kingdom. It is fear that makes men do that. When you have your daily bread, what is left over is to address the need of someone who does not have bread for that day. When you have a community of believers, there should be none lacking. God will bless some more than others and responsibility lies on them to meet the needs of others. While doing so, such men become cheerful givers; when you sow to the spirit, you will reap life (Gal. 6:7–9).

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work…” (2 Cor. 9:8). These are prophecies hanging over us. When a man gets here, he changes season in the spirit. Such a person becomes an enduring entity; He is connected to a source that does not run dry because God is his source. Such a man has fulfilled an obedience and God will avenge a disobedience (2 Cor. 10:6).

The way the earth responds to us shows that we have not fulfilled some principles. We have not come to the place where we are cheerful givers that God loves. One comes into the faith of the Son through charity; such a person is able to live by revelation. As such, there is a class of angels that will begin to handle the natural of such a person.

Eaters can become sowers. Some people have what can cater for more than themselves so they have to look upon the need of others. When you have more grace in the natural, God has made you a potential sower; it is an opportunity to condescend and become meek; to reduce one’s age in the flesh and increase in age in the spirit. This man does not live by sight or economic principles; he lives from the new earth. The economy of the new earth is the righteousness of faith while the economy of the new heaven is everlasting righteousness. This man is living from the world to come, even in this present world.

We can come to a place where all grace abounds (2 Cor. 9:8). It may take some time but keep adding patience to your faith; the future looks brighter that you can imagine. Yesterday is not a reference for what God wants to do tomorrow, if only you can hearken to what God is saying.

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Rom. 10:10). When you complete the cycle of believing, you unlock a power in the realm of the spirit. Unbelievers can unlock that power if they also believe because faith is a principle. The Syrophenian woman unlocked that power by exercising faith (Mark 7:24–30). With the heart a man believes unto righteousness. Such a person has gathered all the substances of that word to release his faith.

Abraham believed what was revealed and by faith he conceived something Rom. 4:1–3); he obeyed a principle of faith.
